Species Reports

Choose one plant species and one animal species from your study area to learn more about. You are going to research the habitat and niche of each species you choose. You will write one report from what you learn about your chosen plant and one report about your chosen animal. Each of your reports will be posted in a new section of your blog. Your writing is to focus on how the organism lives (its niche) and where it lives (its habitat). You will also describe how your plant or animal is connected to other organisms in its community. Do not write a description of how the plant or animal looks. We already know this. Research and write about the organism’s ecology, its niche and habitat. Include both common and scientific names in your report. You need three references in a Works Cited list for the animal and three references for the plant.

I will show you how to create a new section of your blog for each of your reports. I suggest you begin by gathering information and taking some notes. Then type your report on MS Word or some other program from which you can paste your finished work into your blog.
